About The Position

This role will take a 360-degree approach to identifying, researching, pitching, and producing world-class guests for The Diary Of A CEO. As Guest Producer, you will be responsible for ensuring every guest booked on the show has the potential to create a high-impact, culturally relevant, and deeply insightful conversation. You will combine cultural awareness, editorial instinct, and data-driven research to identify emerging voices, influential thinkers, and high-profile guests who align with the themes and audience of The Diary Of A CEO. Alongside guest strategy, you will contribute to creative storytelling ideas that elevate episodes beyond traditional interviews, helping push the boundaries of what podcasting can be. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and communication skills, the highest attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding research informed by YouTube, audience behaviour, and digital trends. Responsibilities

  • Researching for Guests
  • Monitor YouTube, social media platforms, and cultural trends to identify emerging voices, outliers, and high-value potential guests.
  • Analyse social, search, and audience trends to help inform guest booking decisions and ensure episodes remain timely, relevant, and engaging.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential guests ahead of pitching to Steven, including their expertise, background, and alignment with The Diary Of A CEO themes, identifying unique angles that could make episodes stand out.
  • Stay ahead of industry and cultural trends to uncover untapped opportunities for featuring individuals who can bring new ideas and perspectives to the audience.
  • Guest Booking and Management
  • Support the end-to-end guest booking process, building relationships with guests, agents, and publicists to secure high-quality conversations.
  • Work closely with the research team to develop creative storytelling elements for episodes, including props, imagery, and other visual aids that enhance the conversation.
  • When needed, handle administrative tasks including securing release forms and managing guest documentation.
  • Monitor guest booking processes and contribute recommendations to improve efficiency and the overall guest experience.
  • Documentary Research
  • Identify when episodes may benefit from deeper, documentary-style research that explores complex stories or underrepresented topics.
  • Work with the Head of Research to identify and connect with experts, contributors, and organisations that can strengthen the storytelling within episodes.
  • Conduct outreach to potential collaborators and sources who can provide deeper context and insight into specific topics.
  • Support the development of workflows that allow more in-depth research episodes to be executed efficiently alongside the regular production schedule.
  • Format Development
  • Develop ideas that elevate booked guest episodes, such as additional interviews, storytelling elements, props, or creative production approaches.
  • Present structured ideas to the host and research team that strengthen the episode narrative or audience experience.
  • Support the planning and execution of creative concepts, ensuring ideas are aligned with audience trends and the editorial vision of the show.
  • Studio and Production Support
  • Support the Production Director and wider team during recordings when required, ensuring research and guest preparation are fully aligned with the production process.
  • Help maintain smooth coordination between research, guest preparation, and filming to ensure every episode runs seamlessly.
