About The Position

At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a temporary guest PE Teacher, you will work as part of a dynamic team that serves our high school students at CHS. This position is anticipated to serve a temporary teaching contract from January 5, 2026- June 11, 2026 and scheduled for 7 hours a day. Starting base daily rate is a prorated amount based off of the teacher salary matrix. $47,940-$$65,338 based on education and experience in addition to a competitive pro-rated benefit plan including but not limited to sick and personal leave, health benefit plan with options for dental and vision coverage, life insurance, a section 125 plan, numerous tax sheltered annuity options and tuition reimbursement. Requirements

Montana teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement

Nice To Haves

At least a year of successful teaching experience in PE at the high school level.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

Responsibilities

Teach district approved curriculum.
Develop lesson plans and instructional material.
Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
