Requirements

  • Proficiency in Opera and other relevant software applications
  • Ability to train others in software applications
  • Strong computer skills including creating templates and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle guest complaints effectively
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of local history and attractions
  • Previous experience in a front desk or concierge role

Responsibilities

  • Will work closely with Front Office, GSM and Concierges to create a memorable stay for each guest
  • Must be proficient in Opera and able to assist Front Desk as needed, including covering shifts
  • Be involved in resolution of guest complaints
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs
  • Ability to train others in the use of applications, including MS Office Suite, Opera, Alice, Open Table, Fare Harbor, Spa Soft and golf scheduling
  • A deep understanding of a computer and software is necessary to perform the job functions such as creating templates, documentation, and spreadsheets
  • Must be able to use multiple applications simultaneously while still paying attention to the needs of our guests first and foremost
  • Review of daily arrivals to ensure all celebrations and special occasions are noted and recognized
  • Conduct historic tours for guests and groups
  • Maintain historical information on the resort and create an accurate and efficient tour script to make certain every tour is giving consistent information
  • Keep a good relationship with the history committee as a valuable resource
  • Must maintain a clean professional appearance
  • Assist Valet with greeting cars, recording calls, luggage storage and any other necessary items
