About The Position

As a Guest Advocate at Target, you will be an advocate for guest experience, welcoming and exceeding guest service expectations. You will focus on guest interaction and recovery, ensuring a quick and easy shopping experience at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up. This role provides opportunities to build and develop skills for a career while creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality.
  • Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
  • Assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and the Target App.
  • Partner with Leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store open hours.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up Orders.
