As a Guest Advocate at Target, you will be an advocate for guest experience, welcoming and exceeding guest service expectations. You will focus on guest interaction and recovery, ensuring a quick and easy shopping experience at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up.   • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for the guest.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately.
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest.
  • Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App.
  • Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate Leaders as needed.
  • Partner with Leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
  • Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up Orders.
  • Effective communication skills, including using positive language.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Attention to detail while multi-tasking.
  • Ability to educate guests and engage around products and services.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurate handling of cash register operations and cash transactions.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
