As a Guest Advocate (Cashier) at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience in our smallest format stores. You will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, customizing each experience, and anticipating guest needs. Your duties will include cashiering, stocking, presentation, and maintaining price accuracy. You will work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock for guests, while also supporting daily and weekly workload to meet business priorities and sales goals.

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe and understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store.
  • Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
  • Push and stock product to the sales floor.
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
  • Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately.
  • Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support execution of major transitions and ISM.
  • Maintain interior and exterior brand, including cleanliness and organization.
  • Accurately execute all pulls and backstock product from all departments.
  • Process all inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
  • Operate power equipment only if certified.
  • Follow processes accurately with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow a multi-step process.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends and inventory management.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders.
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Competitive hourly rate starting at $17.75 USD per hour.
  • Pay range of $17.75 USD - $26.65 USD per hour.
