As a Guest Advocate (Cashier) and Small Format Team Member at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have an enjoyable shopping experience. You will be responsible for various tasks including cashiering, stocking, and maintaining product presentation.   • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe and understand guest needs through body language and verbal cues.
  • Engage with guests to understand their specific needs and provide solutions.
  • Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
  • Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock.
  • Push and stock products to the sales floor.
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
  • Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure accurate signing.
  • Complete scans and system audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support execution of major transitions and maintain brand standards.
  • Accurately execute all pulls and backstock products.
  • Process all inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain backroom organization and follow equipment guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate technology equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow a multi-step process.
  • Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash register operations.
  • Physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in retail or customer service.
  • Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
  • Experience with inventory management.
