As a Guest Advocate (Cashier) and Small Format Team Member at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have an enjoyable shopping experience. You will be responsible for various tasks including cashiering, stocking, and maintaining product presentation. Your role will involve engaging with guests, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional service. You will also support daily operations to ensure the store is well-stocked and organized, contributing to the overall success of the team and the store.

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe and understand guest needs through body language and verbal cues.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way to better understand their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store.
  • Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
  • Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock.
  • Push and stock product to the sales floor.
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
  • Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure accurate signing for all departments.
  • Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support execution of major transitions and ISM.
  • Maintain interior and exterior brand standards.
  • Accurately execute all pulls and backstock product from all departments.
  • Process all inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
  • Operate power equipment only if certified.
  • Follow processes accurately with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow a multi-step process.
  • Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash register operations.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders.
  • Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
  • Experience in retail business fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting daily/weekly workload to support business priorities.
  • Competitive hourly rate starting at $15.00 USD per hour.
  • Pay range of $15.00 - $22.50 USD per hour.
