Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Familiarity with packing slips and ability to enter information into the computer.
• Ability to fill out bills of lading and understand freight carrier requirements.
• Capability to estimate weight and calculate shipping costs.
• Familiarity with proper packaging methods and visual aids for packaging requirements.
• Familiarity with common material handling equipment and licensed forklift operator.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving duties.
• Support the shipment of goods produced and received supplies.
• Make arrangements for pick-up by the specified carrier.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
• Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand.
• Forward requisitions for shipping materials to the supervisor for approval.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Make pick-ups and deliveries to suppliers for parts and raw materials.
