About The Position

Northwest Local Schools is seeking Guaranteed Substitute Bus Drivers for the 2025-26 school year. This position is essential for ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students within the district. The role requires effective communication with students, staff, and parents, as well as the ability to operate a school bus safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have or be able to obtain a Current Class B License with a school bus and passenger endorsement as required by the State of Ohio
• Communication skills as it relates to working with students, staff and parents
• Use of radio required to perform duties
• Appropriate background checks
• Organizational skills
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Benefits

• Guaranteed a minimum of 4 hours per day
• Hourly wage of $22.28
