About The Position

The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) at Georgia Tech is responsible for managing activities related to classified information systems, ensuring compliance with security regulations, and overseeing the security of classified systems. This role involves advising leadership, conducting audits, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive information. The ISSM will also assist in managing the GTRI Field Office's classified security programs and support the overall strategy for enterprise classified networks.

• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Up to two years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned FO’s GTRI Information Systems Program, including insider threat awareness and mitigation of system vulnerabilities.
• Serve as the principal advisor on security matters involving classified systems at GTRI.
• Conduct audits and self-inspections, and participate in Government security vulnerability assessments.
• Advise GTRI senior management and execute GTRI’s overall strategy for enterprise classified networks.
• Research system vulnerabilities and advise IT staff on security safeguards and operational measures.
• Ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements for Personnel Security, Physical and Environmental protection, and Incident Handling.
• Define system security requirements and design system security architecture.
• Assist the FSO in managing GTRI Field Office classified security programs, including visitor control and security training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
