About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. The Fleet Powerplant Engineer reports to the Fleet Technical Manager and will team with the Commercial Aftermarket team to maximize contract performance. This role involves creating and managing individual customer maintenance programs, executing customer maintenance programs for off wing maintenance, and establishing engine shop visit requirements. The engineer will coordinate with the engine center to ensure effective implementation of work scope specifications and support the Commercial Aftermarket in delivering all customer contract required documents and performance.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 8 years prior experience with jet engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) processes, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: jet engine power plant, project, test, design, process.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree concentration in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Familiar with Engine Manuals, Service Bulletins, and AD notes.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Broad knowledge of task/project management.
  • Substantial knowledge of Raytheon Technologies (RTX) and/or Pratt & Whitney (PW) projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage individual customer maintenance programs.
  • Execute customer maintenance programs for off wing maintenance through creating and administering engine workscopes.
  • Establish and effectively communicate engine shop visit requirements.
  • Coordinate with the engine center to ensure effective implementation of work scope specifications.
  • Support the Commercial Aftermarket, Fleet Technical Manager in developing the cross functional team.
  • Support the Commercial Aftermarket Regional Lead in delivering all customer contract required documents.
  • Work with the Fleet Technical Manager to identify and manage emerging issues.
  • Evaluate hardware teardown conditions for potential limit increases.
  • Provide timely resolution of technical or business questions/issues.
  • Support contract performance financial reviews - Estimate At Completion (EAC).
  • Travel domestically and internationally, up to 5% annually.
