About The Position

The GTB Product Specialist - Export and Agency Finance position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets. The role involves gathering market intelligence, generating leads, and developing proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. The specialist will use their knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends, and potential projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Finance or equivalent field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of the export and project finance market (knowledge of emerging markets preferred).
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a team and interact with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills (preferred but not necessary).

Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and execute cross-border financings for the benefit of US and overseas borrowers.
  • Manage client communications and pitchbooks for client meetings.
  • Coordinate internal communications with both SCIB NY and Global teams.
  • Create cash flow models, run internal profitability calculations, and prepare financing proposals for internal approvals to SCIB management.
  • Coordinate with product partners to deliver joint pitches (DCM, Markets, LevFin, etc.).
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Credit, Compliance, Legal, MO, E&S, and Risk teams.
  • Collaborate with the Private Debt Mobilization team in Madrid to syndicate transactions.
  • Take ownership of all tasks and duties under responsibility.
  • Follow press releases and news from clients and agencies and understand global politics and implications for agency financing.
  • Manage portfolio, following P&L of booked transactions.
