The GSS - Programmatic Housing Coordinator at Goodwill of Colorado is responsible for coordinating with program and organizational staff to foster a safe and supportive environment in Program Housing. This role emphasizes the importance of building relationships with clients, upholding program policies, and ensuring smooth operations on campus. The coordinator will also be involved in data collection and tracking client information, while promoting the organization's core values of patience, kindness, and hospitality.

  • Collaborate with Program Staff to establish and implement Program policies and procedures that advance the Program and encourage overall safety and security.
  • Provide support, encouragement, and accountability for clients in line with Program policies and procedures and Organization Core Values.
  • Build relationships with clients and provide support as needed or requested.
  • Monitor and ensure clients are accounted for in accordance with regular program service schedule.
  • Comply with all information technology training and data privacy requirements, collecting and inputting client data accurately.
  • Uphold Program policies through implementation of case management directives, including administering breathalyzer tests as required.
  • Submit daily reports documenting activities, incidents, and self-evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Contact Supervisor in the event of incidents involving client dismissal or unresolved altercations.
  • Provide access to medication and monitor in accordance with Addiction Recovery Service policies.
  • Respond to and diffuse situations before escalation, handling disputes appropriately.
  • Perform routine checks of clients' dorms and belongings during their program participation and exit.
  • Maintain orderliness and oversee daily chore schedules to ensure cleanliness and safety of Program Housing.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as fire or accidents and complete incident reports when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Security Team to address issues involving security systems.
  • Conduct incremental rounds for fire and security purposes and maintain evacuation plans.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary and attend all required meetings.
  • Operate vehicle for client transportation to appointments and meetings as needed.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a Christian recovery environment desired.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations with calm and clear thinking.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, insightful, and perceptive with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of addiction and recovery preferred.
  • Computer literate and able to use basic office equipment.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Two years of sobriety required, if in recovery.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including on-call availability and willingness to work holidays.
  • Street knowledge and understanding of anger management highly desired.
  • Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.
  • Temp-to-hire eligibility for full-time permanent placement.
