About The Position

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst is a hybrid position responsible for security operations requests, managing client data, international travel itineraries, global beacon tracking devices, worldwide intelligence monitoring, and assisting clients under duress traveling overseas. The GSOC Analyst also performs hands-on Operations Center functions such as monitoring surveillance systems, alarms, and video equipment, and responding to emergencies per established procedures. The GSOC operates 24/7. This is a full-time Associate (intermediate) level position that requires the incumbent to work 100% in-person at the client’s office building in Houston, TX. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the company may identify other duties based on business needs and client requirements.

Requirements

  • Prior military, SOC/GSOC, or private security experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic security management applications including Microsoft Office, Video, Access Control, and Alarm Management
  • Prior experience in vulnerability analysis and threat assessment
  • Experience in open-source intelligence (OSINT) software, research and analysis. Additional experience in monitoring, identifying and assessing groups or persons that may pose a threat to client interest. Professional level familiarity with all social media platforms, US and foreign media, innerweb messaging platforms and other channels of communication.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • State Unarmed Security Officer License (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Interest in current events, executive protection, travel, and security services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with large corporate clients and support security in the field
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Provide security posture recommendations for travelers
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively
  • As a condition of employment, must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a post-offer physical.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, Security Studies, Political Science, or related field
  • Understanding of physical security, executive protection, and global threats to the energy sector
  • Military Intelligence experience (0211, 0231, 35M, 35F, 1N0X1, 1N0xx, K070, K036A, etc.)
  • Global Travel Experience
  • Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to DUS’ and Client’s policies, standards, and established operational procedures.
  • Proactively conduct analysis on current threats impacting the Client’s global business.
  • Build Travel Security briefs based on client’s itinerary and required security
  • Coordinate and direct international security team members in support of clients under duress.
  • Identify and prioritize emergency situations as they develop
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a diverse group of people to include C-Suite executives, support staff, security managers, law enforcement and international operation centers.
  • Perform Operations Center functions including but not limited to: Monitoring surveillance/CCTV systems, alarms, and video equipment in the GSOC. Responding to phone calls and emails, entering and updating client data, maintaining duty logs, updating and organizing company shared drive files and applications. Working with other business units or external agencies and acting as a liaison during emergencies, crisis response, and conveying business information.
  • Conduct regular traveler interface and account management related functions while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Manage GPS-based global tracking devices and
  • Troubleshoot and resolve possible technical issues of tracking devices and
  • Assist with threat and vulnerabilities reporting and the creation of intelligence reports.
  • Provide support for ground and aerial medical evacuations
  • Respond to crisis-level events to facilitate emergency extractions and protection as needed.
  • Respond to security incidents and emergency situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Complete all job required documentation (forms, logs, incident reports) accurately and timely.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and appropriate professionalism.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • This position requires working a rotational schedule, different shifts, overtime, or flexible work hours based on company or client needs.
  • Complete company/job required training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
