Assist Global Supply Chain and specifically the transportation teams in managing the movement of BorgWarner goods. Our goal is to keep the production lines running at the best cost and in the most efficient way possible. There is a lot of interaction with different functional areas like operations, risk management, purchasing, finance and international trade compliance. We also manage the external freight management providers, carriers and forwarders, freight pay and audit, and warehouses. There is a lot of opportunity to practice communication, negotiating and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college, university, vocational/trade school.
  • Ability to report onsite at least three days to our Auburn Hills Campus
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and AI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to talk to people, follow up and learn

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to travel is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on and report status of open issues
  • Help with user training
  • Support plant teams with troubleshooting and resolution implementation
  • Identify key contacts, account numbers, communication streams, etc.
