About The Position

MEM Airport - GSE Mechanic Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (8:00am - 4:30pm) Wage: $32 - $34/hr WORK AIRSIDE. THINK GROUND LEVEL. PERFORM SKY HIGH - BECOME A GSE MECHANIC III TODAY The GSE Mechanic Level III is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repairs on both motorized and non-motorized airline and aircraft ground support equipment.

Requirements

18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
6 years of verified experience required
Must provide their own tools and toolbox
Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, or modify various systems and components, including engines, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and more
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using test equipment and manuals in accordance with safety and industry standards
Service equipment with necessary fluids such as fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, water, and compressed air
Operate, test, and assess ground equipment performance and complete related documentation and parts tracking
Adhere to safety procedures and demonstrate high standards of customer service and professionalism
Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
