The Growth Ops QA Specialist, Data Operations will oversee consumer data ETL processes in support of various sports database marketing initiatives including direct marketing campaigns (email, push, in-app) and sales, subscription and engagement reporting. The QA Specialist will be responsible for documenting and maintaining the portfolio of ETL projects to include high/low level requirements documentation and data maps/diagrams. This position will manage the marketing relationship with internal and external technology teams focused on collecting, analyzing, and executing campaigns based on consumer data. This position will handle all database analysis requests by executing the requests or interfacing with internal database teams. The QA Specialist interfaces with various internal marketing, technology, products and research groups to ensure that all data needs are met and managed properly.

  • Involved in the overall review and revision of manual and automated testing plans and procedures.
  • Work with a team of developers, engineers, and QA testers to ensure alignment with company policies and standard processes.
  • Organize and maintain the portfolio of ETL projects across Growth operations.
  • Document and maintain high-level and low-level requirements docs, data maps, versioning, and other project details.
  • Contribute to the development of ETL solutions in support of ongoing marketing data needs.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to grow their base knowledge of the brands and business units.
  • 1-3 years experience in a direct marketing environment, with ETL and analytical responsibilities required.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and trends related to online/database marketing.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming/coding.
  • Experience with project management.
  • ETL and data warehousing experience.
  • Understanding of APIs, database connectivity and network protocols.
  • Experience documenting requirements and data maps.
  • Experience with web analytics, such as Omniture.
  • Experience with campaign management.
  • Experience with Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or other reporting suites.
  • Exposure to demographic data and the database segmentation based on such metrics.
  • Knowledge of consumer segmentation strategies.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Management, Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics.
