Requirements

  • Systems thinker with a bias for action, able to see the whole picture and build systems.
  • Deeply analytical, comfortable with spreadsheets, analytics tools, and experimentation platforms.
  • Understanding of modern search, including traditional Google search and AI-powered search engines.
  • Technical enough to work with APIs, tracking implementations, and SQL queries.
  • Ability to move fast and learn quickly, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable growth in previous roles.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of user growth, from the moment someone first hears about Obvious to when they become a power user.
  • Build and optimize the growth engine, including lifecycle marketing strategy from acquisition through activation, retention, and expansion.
  • Design onboarding flows, email campaigns, in-product messaging, and re-engagement loops.
  • Run experiments that matter by designing and executing A/B tests across various aspects of the product.
  • Drive organic growth through SEO and GEO by building search presence across Google and AI-powered search engines.
  • Optimize conversion rates across the entire user journey by identifying drop-off points and testing solutions.
  • Explore partnerships and distribution channels to unlock new growth opportunities.
