About The Position

Sabel Systems is seeking a Summer Growth (Business Development) Intern to support opportunity research, pipeline management, and capture activities within a government contracting (GovCon) environment. This 10-week paid summer internship, with participation available between May 18, 2026, and September 11, 2026, is ideal for students pursuing business, finance, economics, marketing, political science, or related degrees who want hands-on exposure to how mission-focused organizations identify, pursue, and win new work. Interns participate full-time (40 hours per week) aligned to Eastern Time Zone business hours and work in a hybrid environment, supporting one to three days per week onsite at our Beavercreek, OH or Tysons, VA offices. As an Intern, you will work closely with experienced business development and capture professionals to support opportunity tracking, market research, and growth initiatives while learning how strategic planning and disciplined pipeline management contribute to organizational success. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field
  • Strong academic record, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to synthesize information and communicate findings clearly
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in government contracting, federal acquisition, or public sector markets
  • Exposure to CRM tools, opportunity tracking, or market research platforms
  • Coursework related to strategy, sales, or public sector business

Responsibilities

  • Assist with researching and identifying new government contracting opportunities
  • Support maintenance and organization of the business development pipeline and CRM data
  • Assist with tracking opportunities, key milestones, and follow-up actions
  • Support capture and proposal teams with data gathering, summaries, and documentation
  • Conduct market and customer research to support growth strategies
  • Help prepare basic reports and dashboards to support business development planning
  • Collaborate with business development, capture, and proposal stakeholders across the organization
