The Expansion Account Executive, Mid City is responsible for driving revenue growth and long-term value within Axon’s existing customer base by expanding adoption across Axon’s full ecosystem of hardware, software, and connected solutions. This is a quota-carrying, field-based role focused on deepening partnerships with agencies already using multiple Axon products, identifying new use cases, unlocking additional stakeholders, and positioning Axon as a long-term strategic technology partner. Success in this role requires the ability to: Expand existing relationships by aligning Axon’s ecosystem to evolving agency priorities. Navigate complex government organizations to uncover growth opportunities across departments and units. Lead strategic account planning and multi-year expansion roadmaps. Orchestrate cross-functional Axon resources to drive measurable customer outcomes. Balance commercial growth with customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role, with demonstrated success in account expansion, upsell, or enterprise account management.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts.
  • Strong consultative selling and account planning capabilities.
  • Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience.

  • Strong business acumen, curiosity, and long-term relationship orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of existing Axon customers and drive year-over-year revenue expansion.
  • Develop and execute long-term account growth strategies across hardware, software, and services.
  • Identify expansion opportunities through workflow discovery, usage analysis, and stakeholder mapping.
  • Build relationships with executive sponsors, operational leaders, procurement, and IT stakeholders.
  • Lead value-based conversations that connect Axon solutions to agency outcomes and ROI.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and Product teams to accelerate adoption and expansion.
  • Manage renewals, expansions, and contract growth in alignment with customer objectives.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline, expansion opportunities, and renewal risk.
  • Maintain detailed account plans, opportunity tracking, and customer insights in Salesforce.
  • Deliver solution demonstrations, business reviews, and roadmap discussions as needed.
  • Serve as the primary owner of the customer relationship and overall account growth strategy.
