About The Position

The Growing Assistant will support the Regional Growing Team at Gotham Greens by performing various tasks related to greenhouse maintenance, plant care, and record keeping. This role requires flexibility in working hours and the ability to work in different facilities across the region, contributing to the company's mission of sustainable urban agriculture.

Requirements

• Read and write in English.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow recipes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Prior greenhouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work weekends and flexible hours as required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme seasonal temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Growing Team with varying tasks week to week as required.
• Support the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program.
• Maintain greenhouse facilities and equipment.
• Care for nursery and young plants.
• Manage irrigation and plant nutrition.
• Keep accurate records of plant growth and maintenance activities.
• Provide holiday and 7-day coverage with the growing team.
