About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Grower Accounting Assistant to support grower settlements and accounting functions in a fast-paced citrus packing house environment. This position supports the Grower Accountant by ensuring accurate and timely recording related to grower deliveries, pack-outs, fruit processing & sales proceeds leading to timely delivery of pool statements and accurate grower payments to our Growers.
Requirements
- Accounting or administrative experience (agriculture or produce a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and Excel skills
- Ability to handle high-volume, seasonal data
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Famous ERP or grower accounting system a plus
Responsibilities
- Enter and verify fruit receipts, grades, sizes and pack-out data
- Assist with grower statements and pool accounting
- Reconcile grower advances, deductions, and packing charges
- Maintain accurate and organized grower files and documentation
- Respond to grower inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with production, shipping, sales, and grower relations teams to resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and seasonal accounting processes
- Assist Grower Accountant with other tasks as needed
