About The Position

What to Expect in the Role: Demonstrate competency to operate and attach/hook-up all farm equipment and vehicles, including specialized heavy equipment Visually inspect equipment and vehicles daily and report deficiencies Operate track hoe and all other heavy equipment Properly maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance Remove old and diseased trees with heavy equipment Load, unload, stack, apply, and remove tree wraps Clean ditches and ditch banks Bank and unbank soil around tree bases Manually apply water, and farm chemicals Operate ATVs, lawn mower, pneumatic, gas and hydraulic powered hand tools Manually load and unload, stack bags of soil, fence materials, and irrigation parts Keep work area and equipment/supplies clean. Clean equipment What We Will Be Needing From You: Ability to follow GPS treatment patterns, identify individual plant species for treatment, and follow complex treatment protocols or instructions. Requires acceptable driving record. Requires minimum vision standards, depth perception and adequate pulmonary function test. Requires standing, walking, and sitting, for extended periods. Requires performance of repetitive stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling. Requires moving of materials and equipment up to fifty (50) pounds over distances of ten (10) feet or more. Ability to work at heights up to twenty (20) feet or more. Some previous equipment operation experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and maintain status as an approved driver for the company and to safely operate vehicles.
