About The Position

The Group Exercise Instructor at Gold's Gym will play a pivotal role in leading and motivating members in a group fitness environment. This position requires the instructor to deliver a pre-arranged format of exercises aimed at enhancing overall fitness, strength, and endurance while ensuring the safety of all participants. The instructor will be responsible for educating members on various aspects of fitness, providing clear verbal instructions, and demonstrating effective workout methods. The classes must begin and end promptly, adhering to the scheduled format and standards. In addition to leading classes, the instructor will coach and motivate participants to achieve their fitness goals, continuously monitoring for signs of injury, illness, or overexertion. Interaction with participants is crucial; the instructor will answer questions, introduce new members, and solicit feedback to maintain a positive exercise experience and encourage long-term participation. The instructor must ensure that all participants are using correct form and offer modifications to accommodate different fitness levels. Professionalism is key in this role, as the instructor will represent Gold's Gym and must adhere to appropriate fitness attire while maintaining a positive attitude towards responsibilities, fellow associates, and members. The instructor is also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly, maintaining cleanliness in the group exercise room, and promptly notifying management of any repair needs. Additionally, the instructor will be required to record hours worked and class attendance accurately and attend all necessary staff meetings and training sessions to maintain and improve teaching skills.
