About The Position

Do you enjoy creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children’s growth beyond the classroom? Wonderspring is seeking a committed Group Supervisor to support our before and after school program at Colonial Elementary in the Colonial School District. Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you’ll plan and lead activities, promote positive behavior, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment for all participants. This full-time, year-round position is benefits-eligible and ideal for individuals passionate about guiding, teaching, and inspiring school-age youth. Requirements

  • AA in Education, required; BA/BS Education preferred
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with children
  • Excellent, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills reflecting strong customer service and the ability to interact effectively with parents/guardians and school district personnel
  • Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and implementation of lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices
  • Ensure effective communication with families regarding children’s developmental growth through observations, anecdotal reports, and conferences
  • Collaborate with school district personnel to include principals, teachers, administrative and custodial staff as complimentary supports to programming
  • Working with the Site Supervisor and Center Director to orient, supervise and mentor staff by providing necessary tools, information, and support to ensure success
  • Facilitate family intake and enrollment process
