The Group Supervisor at Pee Wee Prep Educational Center is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the classroom, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, supervising children, and acting as a resource for parents. The supervisor must maintain a professional demeanor and engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills.

  • Attend one day New Hire orientation session (date TBA)
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children in care
  • Plan and implement fun, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate monthly themes and meet students' individual needs
  • Prepare the learning environment by setting up learning centers with materials and activities
  • Ensure that children are supervised at all times
  • Interact with students consistently
  • Create a clean, safe, healthy, and nurturing environment conducive to learning
  • Assist children who are having difficulty or need special care
  • Act as a resource for parents by providing information on upcoming events and referrals
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude
  • Become an active member of an organization within a year of employment
  • Participate in a minimum of 21 yearly hours of training
  • Attend all meetings, workshops, and trainings scheduled by the director/supervisor
  • Complete and submit all paperwork requested by the supervisor on time
  • Follow Keystone STARS guidelines for age group
  • Maintain online PDR and attend a minimum of one training per month
  • Attend parent and group functions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field with at least 18 credits in ECE
  • Ability to write an essay with limited to no grammatical errors
  • Minimum of two years' experience, with at least one year in a child care setting or educational facility
  • Two letters of reference from non-family members
