About The Position

The NewPath Child & Family Solutions Group Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the delivery of therapeutic group service activities supporting the NewPath Residential Program. The Group Service Coordinator is also responsible for all Residential Day Treatment activities, and curriculum; ensuring documentation, scheduling, and completion of therapeutic groups are completed accurately to meet the needs of the clients served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years' experience in the mental health field required.
  • Must have a good understanding of various mental health diagnoses.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situation.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen; CPR/First Aid training; have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and proof of current auto insurance.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or counseling; accompanied by a Professional license (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LMFT); plus, two years' experience working in mental health with some supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the Group Facilitators and is responsible for interviewing, coaching, reviewing, scheduling, overseeing, and training.
  • Ensure the Group Facilitators implement clinically sound therapeutic groups.
  • Foster and maintain a positive, supportive, and productive work environment for all staff.
  • Schedule approved group activities, following curriculum and therapeutic recommendations.
  • Ensure all groups are covered and facilitated, and needs are met by the Group Facilitators or Group Service Coordinator.
  • Facilitate and monitor group activities to ensure groups are clinically sound and relevant to clients' treatment needs.
  • Ensure all Group Facilitators are in compliance with Agency and State Licensing requirements as it specifically relates to service delivery, training, DCI training, and First Aid/CPR.
  • Participate in the development of the treatment plan for each client, and assist each youth in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate communication with all responsible parties for the improvement for client's mental health and wellbeing.
