You will be part of an elite team of sales and marketing professionals who are driven to expand 1 Hotels market brand across the US and beyond. This is a goal driven opportunity with an above average market-based compensation plan. You will be responsible for all activities related to the sales function and revenue generation from corporations within the territories assigned. These may include accounts in insurance, finance, legal, consumer products, automotive, retail, consulting, etc. As a Group Sales Manager, you will focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives and personal booking goals. Requirements

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a field of study related to this profession; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated selling skills; and proven achievements in selling, optimizing guest engagement and financial performance
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in group sales within the luxury/hospitality market
  • Exceptional skills related to business acumen, time management, written and verbal communication, prioritization, attention to details, problem-solving, public presentations, follow-up and through

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Tripleseat and HMS or similar Property Management System is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, qualify, and perform targeted prospecting for new business
  • Attend appropriate industry tradeshows as a Sales representative
  • Attend domestic and international tradeshows for networking and exposure purposes
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and hotel team to achieve inspiring guest experiences
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
  • Maintain focus on future booking pace from established and potential accounts
  • Maintain professional and appropriate business appearance and demeanor aligned with the 1 Hotel brand and culture
  • Make decisions for clients that best align with being a platform for change
  • Organize and conduct qualified familiarization trips
  • Travel to key markets to meet with existing and potential customers with upcoming group RFPs
  • Work as a cohesive team member by remaining flexible, innovative, and positive
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
