About The Position

Chetola Resort is seeking a driven and strategic Group Sales Manager to join our growing Sales team and help continue the resort’s legacy of exceptional experiences and service for group clientele. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for securing and growing group business across market segments, supporting sales strategies, and helping shape the future of events and group offerings at the resort. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting is required
  • Prior experience in sales is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with sales systems and property management software is a plus
  • Must be able to work on-site with a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends
  • A proactive and polished communicator with a passion for hospitality and relationship-building
  • Thrive in target-driven environments and love the satisfaction of closing a sale
  • Equally comfortable making strategic decisions and managing details
  • Enjoy working collaboratively across teams to deliver standout guest experiences

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit group business across multiple market segments
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships while pursuing new business using prospecting techniques
  • Follow up on sales leads, monitor prospective business, and convert inquiries into bookings
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform strategies and maximize bookings
  • Track and achieve monthly and annual booking goals in partnership with the Director of Sales
  • Represent the resort to clients with professionalism, warmth, and deep product knowledge
  • Support seamless communication between clients and on-property departments to ensure exceptional experiences
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to shape and execute annual sales strategies and marketing initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with the Front Office and Marketing teams to develop and promote group offerings
  • Utilize property management and sales systems to manage leads, bookings, and client details
  • Provide reporting on account activity and key performance metrics
  • Support the development of sales materials and promotional tools
