About The Position

The Group Sales Manager (GSM) will focus on prospecting and selling specific business unit products to assigned group customers, primarily dealer groups with 10 or more stores. The GSM will serve as the primary point of contact for these dealer groups, aiming to maximize dealership bookings and establish strong relationships with C-level executives to identify new sales opportunities and upsell existing products.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, particularly in the automotive or related industry.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with C-level executives and senior leadership.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and document business structures.
  • Experience in developing strategic sales plans and driving revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Dealertrack, Dealer.com, VinSolutions, and vAuto products.
  • Experience in the Northeastern market.
  • Strong understanding of automotive industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities and present solutions to achieve targeted sales goals.
  • Establish relationships with key decision makers at the Senior Leadership level, including C-level and regional leaders.
  • Document client business structure and needs to identify the best solutions.
  • Collaborate with the director to build strategic plans for product penetration and revenue growth.
  • Drive financial performance by forecasting and exceeding sales targets for a specific book of business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategic plans for growth.
  • Represent Cox to the group dealership and develop overarching strategies to achieve business outcomes.
  • Provide in-depth solutions and recommendations based on market trends and product expertise.
  • Communicate corporate client strategies to performance management partners.
  • Stay informed of competitive offerings and market positioning of Cox Automotive.
  • Complete required training and seek expert-level industry knowledge.
  • Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities using Salesforce.
