About The Position

The Group Rooms Reservation Manager at Galt House Hotel is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Group Room Coordinators, focusing on securing reservations and selling hotel offerings, including rooms and dining. Requirements

• Minimum of two years related experience in reservation or hospitality industry.
• Strong call center or sales background in non-hospitality fields may be considered.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Ability to resolve issues with tact and patience.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Passkey, Opera, and Delphi is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a leadership role within a hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with property management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the Group Room Coordinators.
• Secure reservations and sell all Galt House offerings, including rooms and dining.
• Ensure successful development and deployment of group blocks within the property management system.
• Optimize guest room allocation for group blocks.
• Partner with Group Sales and Convention Services to align strategies with Group Reservations Agents.
• Implement training programs to instill a sales culture focused on revenue optimization.
• Manage human resource functions including evaluations, hiring, training, and coaching.
• Provide forecasting and group arrival information to operational staff.
• Coordinate reservation functions for special events like Thunder Over Louisville and Kentucky Derby.
• Follow sales techniques to optimize revenue.
• Deliver high standards of service to all customers.
