The U.S. Business Resilience and Incident Management (BRIM) team is accountable for cross-functional execution of the TD Business Continuity Management (BCM) program and Incident Management Protocol (IMP) for all U.S. legal entities. BRIM is responsible for the development and implementation of U.S. business resilience and incident management strategies, governance policies, standards and practices, operating framework, reporting, notification and escalation of material and significant events. The Group Risk Specialist provides a comprehensive and diverse range of risk management expertise to business leaders. Leads and supports the implementation of appropriate risk frameworks and leading related management activities to mitigate enterprise and/or business-wide risk exposures for key business segment of the Bank or functional area. May provide oversight, commentary, and recommendations based on overall strategy and industry best practices.

  • Organize and facilitate a triage call for an emerging event.
  • Develop Incident Objectives for an incident that reflect priorities and values at risk.
  • Create and distribute a written briefing that reflects an accurate situational update and captures strategic remediation.
  • Organize and facilitate a planning meeting for Complex Incident Management.
  • Create and distribute for approval an incident communication for US banking regulators.
  • Effectively communicate with other incident management teams within TD, offering guidance and support while keeping an accurate record of the incident being managed.
  • Perform effectively as a team member while working remotely.
  • Conduct an Effective After-Action Review and SWOT analysis.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and effective decision making under stress.
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks & reporting for business supported and/or area of discipline.
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives which support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives.
  • Skill in mentoring and coaching.
  • Advanced skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques.
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions.
