About The Position

Join us as a Group Manager to define how procurement drives product innovation and operational excellence. You’ll be a strategic partner in shaping electronic product concepts from inception, ensuring sourcing strategies align with next-generation design and sustainability goals. With full lifecycle ownership, you’ll lead a high-impact team that balances cost, quality, and agility while delivering results. This role is for leaders who see procurement as a lever for innovation—not a transactional function—and who can build systems that scale with Tesla’s ambitious growth.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in procurement/supply chain management, with 5+ years in electronics sourcing and 4+ years leading teams
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product design through early-stage cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end product lifecycle ownership, including supplier onboarding, risk mitigation, and sustainable scaling
  • Experience driving change management in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Proven success in leading teams and implementing procurement frameworks that align with business objectives
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on measurable outcomes
  • Familiarity with supplier scorecards, contract law, and compliance standards

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for all your and your team’s products to ensure the very best quality, cost, delivery, and service
  • Analyze market dynamics to ensure supply continuity, adapting strategies to address current and emerging risks
  • Partner with product teams during concept development to define technical, financial, and sustainability requirements for components and materials
  • Drive end-to-end ownership of procurement workflows, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance tracking, and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to refine product specifications and onboard suppliers
  • Identify and qualify new sources of supply to support plant expansions, product launches, and sustainability initiatives
  • Deliver cost-reduction targets through data-driven analysis and innovative sourcing practices
