ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: This position also manages a team of Portfolio Managers. Responsible for advising, reviewing, and assisting Portfolio Managers in managing their clients. Develops and executes appropriate strategies for problem clients. Implement measurable goals for Portfolio Managers to be sure work is done timely, retention is met, credit losses are minimized, customer requests are addressed, client visits are done, covenant violations are addressed and are measuredbyperforming periodic performance reviews. Review and advise the Portfolio Managers to ensure quality write-ups, accurate risk ratings, field exam responses, problem loan reports provide the initial approval of all credit requests before being submitted to the President of ABL and totheBank's Credit Approval Department. Advise on pricing strategies, covenants, waivers, amendments, forbearances and overall credit structure to reduce risk to the bank, while serving the client. Assist senior bank management and the President of ABL with special requests. Provide Advise to commercial lenders with their problem loans, structures, and assist in transferring those account to ABL when required by the Credit Risk department As the credit leader of the team, note negative trends early and strategizes best solutions for bank, through analysis of trend cards, review of credit write-ups and watch asset reports. Review, approve and present all watch asset reports ofhisteam to the bank watch asset committee. Develops and maintains internal relationships following established processes and procedures, and be a more senior point of contact to customer relationships. Be able to offer legal strategies and understand legal ramifications of certain credit decisions or aspects of the loan relationship expert on the accounts and their legal and credit file. Manage and train Portfolio Managers, developing new talent, and ensure existing talent is utilized productively and continues to learn and develop further. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in finance, accounting or business. Advanced degree in business or Law would be a plus. At least 20 years of experience in ABL Portfolio Management and field examination, with extensive experience in liquidation, workouts, restructuring and client retention and contact. Strong understanding of the legal environment underpinning ABL,including but not limited to, knowledge of contract law, the Uniform Commercial Code, and federal bankruptcy laws. Strong knowledge financial statement analytical and accounting skills are required, as well as experience in understanding fine pointsinlending against various types of collateral. Thorough understanding and knowledge of large syndicated transactions both as an Agent and as a participant. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to communicate well to employees, clients and to others within the bank. Knowledge of computers systems including Microsoft Office suite and proprietary software products used in support of the business. Working Conditions And Demands (If Applicable): Valid and current driver's license required for travel to meet with prospects and customers.
