The position involves leading and managing a team of 1-3 direct reports to implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures. The role requires developing and maintaining supplier partnerships focused on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) performance, as well as planning, prioritizing, and managing resources and budgets within the assigned area. The individual will drive and support E-mobility Business Unit purchasing initiatives, including project launches, cost structure, and technical cost reduction. Additionally, the role includes managing purchasing activities for RFQs, kickoffs, and follow-ups to ensure on-time delivery and milestone achievement. The candidate will also lead and participate in technical cost-saving initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts to reduce total costs, support departmental and third-party budget development and control, and identify, develop, and onboard new suppliers aligned with Business Unit and corporate purchasing strategies. Acting as the purchasing lead for North America E-mobility projects, the individual will support broader NA footprint and sustainability initiatives, assist in regional budget planning, and actively support business growth by meeting customer quote, cost, and delivery targets. Participation in cross-functional program teams as the purchasing representative for assigned projects and leading supplier negotiations to implement purchasing activities aligned with divisional and global strategic initiatives are also key responsibilities.
