Group Leader – Process Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Department, Body Assembly Section Outline of Duties: Leads and support projects, technology development, and section planning projects. Interacts with other engineering departments, supporting and developing cooperation between departments. Supervises and assist process engineers in daily, weekly, and annual duties and responsibilities while ensuring quality on-time implementation within budget. Collaborates with contractors and equipment manufacturers to develop best solutions to current issues. Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes. Participates in continuous improvement by identifying new opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and increase efficiencies. Leads improvement plans to validate production processes to achieve department & plant targets for both new model and current production. Supervises cross-functional teams to recommend and countermeasure plant-wide issues Leads and manages vendor project activities. Ensures process engineering activities are feasible and performance standards are met according to specifications. Monitors development and control of project master schedules and budget management. Electrical hardware design: Ability to read and understand equipment, electrical schematics and drawings. Mechanical Systems Design: Ability to read and understand product and equipment mechanical drawings and dimensions. Solid experience troubleshooting, modifying, and specifying mechanical systems. Experience with pneumatic piping and control systems. Exposure to air, water, and hydraulic utilities. Train new process engineers in processes, procedures, and requirements of Manufacturing Engineering job. All other duties as assigned.
