What You Do Job Title: Group Leader, Paint Maintenance (Weekend Shift | 3x12 Schedule) Mazda Toyota Manufacturing Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Opportunity…not just words, but the cornerstone of Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA’s $1.6 Billion manufacturing plant in Huntsville, Alabama. We are looking for a driven Paint Maintenance Group Leader to join our weekend crew, working a 3-day, 12-hour shift schedule. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team while supporting critical operations in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. What You Do You will drive continuous improvement initiatives centered around paint line equipment efficiency and reliability, while helping team members and contractors understand the importance and impact of these efforts. As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also: Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota Create improvement strategies relative to KPI achievement and in translating those strategies into concrete action plans by use of Floor Management Systems Lead safety initiatives and support Kaizen activities Ensure alignment of activities to support the business plan Support preventative and predictive maintenance system and ensure compliance and effectiveness Support new equipment introduction Create and manage team member development plans Spare parts setup and management Support long-term maintenance reliability and efficiency strategy Support reliability Kaizen including major breakdown root cause analysis, KPI/SSR action plan implementation, utility infrastructure risk analysis, and system efficiency Lead activities to improve operational efficiency and reduce MTTR/MTBF Manage Maintenance standardization activity including master maintenance plans, contingency plans, and best practices Lead evaluation and maintenance cost reduction activities Troubleshoot and problem solving to eliminate chronic line stop issues Cultivate a workforce that is representative of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives Performs other related duties as assigned by the department Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally) What You Bring High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing (paint experience preferred) Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) What Will Set You Apart 2+ years of supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing Experience in paint or assembly/logistics environments Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business field Experience working with Toyota production or logistics systems What We Offer At Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA Inc., we offer the opportunity to end each day with a smile and a sense of pride in the work that you do.
