Enthalpy Analytical - part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group - is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, and soil testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, with our unique capabilities allowing us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance. Our Denver, CO Lab is currently seeking a Full-Time Group Leader to join our Metals Department. For success in this role, group leaders must conscientiously and consistently perform their duties at a level that satisfies the daily needs of the laboratory. Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Group leaders must demonstrate capability to perform most of the analytical assays within their department
  • Group Leaders must display an understanding of the physical or chemical principles that underpin each analytical assay

Responsibilities

  • Personnel supervision, timekeeping, and performance evaluations
  • Backlog management workflow monitoring, and operational efficiency
  • Accurate and timely communication between laboratory departments, Project Managers, and upper management
  • Sample analysis as needed following various published methods
  • Analytical method development
  • Upload and review of data for inclusion in client reports
  • Solution, standard, and sample preparation as needed
  • Occasional split shift and/or weekend duties
  • Instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Implementation of quality updates and process optimization strategies
  • Inventory of consumables, reagents, and instrument components
  • Application of GLP in daily laboratory operations
  • Initiation and investigation of non-conformance issues
  • Compliance with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program, Health and Safety Plan, and other policies
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager, Technical Director, and/or Lab Director
  • Laboratory position coverage/backfill as needed for operational continuity
