This position will have evolving responsibilities as the facility approaches the planned production start date in 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight of material flow execution team within assigned shift – Receiving, Warehouse, Lineside Delivery, Shipping
  • Coach and support Team Leaders to build strong, engaged teams.
  • Communicate department and plant objectives to the team while ensuring there is an effective feedback loop to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Root cause material shortages; identify, implement, and communicate corrective action
  • Assist in leading the efforts to implement lean manufacturing initiatives within material flow operations
  • Uphold company policies in partnership with Human Resources
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to achieve production goals by solving problems and implementing error-proofing
  • Demonstrate commitment and a belief in the power of continuous improvement for personal and team development, as well as material flow process improvements
  • Understands plant performance and KPI tracking, sets actions based on data that contribute to the efforts to meet or exceed KPIs, including Safety, Quality Throughput, Inventory Accuracy, Material Availability, Inventory Turns
  • Be Subject Matter Expert in Warehouse/Material Flow execution
  • Interview and evaluate prospective team members to identify employees that reflect the Humble, Hungry, Smart mentality
  • Become Subject Matter Expert in SAP EWM; support front-end development activities to enable successful SAP launch
  • Coordinate with other Group Leaders and Materials Manager to develop onboarding and training plans for all new hires
  • Work cross functionally to ensure designated areas are production ready with respect to safety, training, 5S, standard work.
  • Assist in development of material flow processes and overall flow design
