Performs the mowing and maintenance of City-owned properties and lots cited by Code Enforcement.   • Responsible for mowing, trimming, trash removal, and brush removal
  • Operating digital camera / iPad, taking pictures after cutting the property, as well as filling out daily paperwork.
  • Directs crew assignments on Code Abatements and DCI maintenance schedules.
  • Provides quality control and ensures work output meets the standards and expectations of the city.
  • Related Park maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Fills out paperwork for necessary supplies and materials.
  • Fills out daily logs of work completed, and reports work orders needed for repairs.
  • Maintains clean and safe work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Be able to communicate with the public as needed, excellent customer service expected.
  • May be required to work heights of 10ft or more on ladders.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and consistent performance.
  • Able to maintain best practices and learn new maintenance procedures.
  • Conducts equipment use and safety training for staff.
  • Related Park maintenance duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in landscape maintenance is required.
  • Experience in a supervisor capacity.
  • Working knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in landscape maintenance.
  • Skilled in the operation of listed tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Class B CDL preferred.
