About The Position

Jobber is looking for a Group Lead, Technical Program Management, to be a part of our Systems group. This is a remote-first role that can be held in Canada or the United States. The Group Lead will drive clarity and alignment between company strategy, technical execution, and measurable outcomes for the Systems group. This role requires a leader who can balance mentorship with accountability, foster collaboration across Jobber, and translate between business priorities and technical realities to keep work moving at scale.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of TPMs or equivalent in a high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on TPM experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Project Manager for internal engineering teams.
  • A strong technical background that enables effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Experience in SAAS businesses and an understanding of key metrics that lead to business success.
  • Next level communication skills, with clear and effective written and verbal communication.
  • A data-driven mindset, using data to define problems, measure impact, and contextualize work.
  • A collaborative approach and the desire to build strong partnerships across teams and departments.
  • Execution excellence and ownership, with proven ability to deliver projects to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience in Developer Acceleration.
  • Experience in Core stack development (Ruby/Rails ideal).
  • Experience in Data and streaming technologies (ex postgres, data streaming, event driven architectures).
  • Past experience as a software developer and/or infrastructure/sysadmin.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide team metrics and goals.
  • Work with the TPMs who set the goals to ensure strong leading and lagging indicators.
  • Discover and understand the connections between Jobber’s day-to-day work, the overall product vision, technical strategy and scaling, and customers’ needs.
  • Build relationships across the organization to keep work moving and help unblock your team when needed.
  • Balance coaching, feedback, and mentorship to help your team grow in their craft and achieve their career goals.
  • Hold your team members accountable for delivering high-quality roadmaps on time.
  • Foster collaboration by partnering with respective leadership teams and stakeholders across the focus areas of your team members.
