About The Position

As a Wet Etch Process Engineer, you will be responsible for sustaining, improving, and developing wet etch processes within a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will work closely with Operations, Equipment Engineering, Integration, and R&D to ensure the timely delivery of products that meet customer specifications. Additionally, you will collaborate with global counterparts to benchmark and enhance company-wide wet etch processes and procedures, and be responsible for creating and modifying operations specifications.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wet etch principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Akrion, DNS, SEZ, and/or Semitool wet etch tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to use knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of difficult problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead task teams and small to medium projects.
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Experience with design of experiment techniques and data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter.
  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a global team or environment.
  • Minimum 4 years wet etch process engineering experience with B.S. Degree or 2 years of experience with advanced degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Six sigma certifications.
  • Knowledge of PROMIS WIP management and JMP statistical analysis software.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain and improve wet etch processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Monitor and control wet etch processes, troubleshoot yield problems, develop process enhancements, and implement new processes to address quality and bottleneck situations.
  • Suggest work methods for new tasks and tasks that he/she leads.
  • Install and qualify new tools and process technologies.
  • Support process and technology transfers.
  • Participate in troubleshooting taskforces as needed and help develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Lead task teams and small to medium projects.
  • Support Integration team and Quality organization to ensure technologies meet all qualification and reliability requirements.
  • Use lean manufacturing and six sigma processes.
