Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years' experience OR an associate's degree (technical discipline preferred) and 2 years' experience.
  • Previous experience working as a team/group lead in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to pass annual eye exam which requires 20/20 vision with corrective lenses.
  • Must be adept at using precision mechanical gauges and a wide variety of precision electrical test equipment.
  • Must be capable of reading blueprints and interpreting operations sheets and other types of complex instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes the daily activities and workflow for up to 15 associates engaged in the production of precision components and sub-assemblies.
  • Reviews production and delivery commitments with expeditor and team.
  • Plans and prioritizes daily/weekly activities to accomplish production requirements.
  • Informs team members regarding any special conditions or requirements necessary to meet production commitments.
  • Sets up work stations, assigns work to individual employees, monitors workflow and progression of units to subsequent workstations.
  • Monitors daily work activities for equipment/operational problems, quality issues, hazards, material shortages or resources availability that may impact production.
  • Interprets blueprints, follows operations sheets and ensures that employees are using proper production methods.
  • Consults with supervisor and/or engineering concerning issues impacting production.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
