About The Position

We are hiring for: Group Home Supervisor / PAHrtners Deaf Services Type: Regular If you are a positive and personable individual looking for a satisfying and fun opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health, and substance use challenges, join our team at RHA Health Services! Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations of 1-3 facility/facilities providing Non-ICF services. Leads and directs the work of Direct Support Associates and is responsible for the operations of the locations assigned to. REPORTS TO: IDD Residential Team Leader or above. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
  • Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus
  • Exception – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs: For these programs only, employees must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). The requirement to talk and hear does not apply.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting the implementation of person-centered plans
  • Spending adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees clients while serving as a positive role model
  • Provides audits for medication administration.
  • Resolving employee issues and conducting performance reviews
  • Ensuring that employees meet training requirements and attend required events
  • Monitoring select budget items and staying within guidelines
  • Monitoring and providing feedback to employees during all three shifts in interactions and relationships with the people supported
  • Providing after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
