About The Position

Join the crew at the Clay County Juvenile Group Homes. Clay County Group Home staff manage the activities of daily living for their residents. Adhering to the guidelines and policies of the program, the group home staff guide, teach, and correct the residents with duties such as supervising meal preparation and household chores, assisting with homework, transporting residents to school, appointments, and other scheduled activities, and administering medications while developing rapport, resolving problems, and communicating clearly.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to use conflict resolution solutions
• Team player
• Valid driver’s license and liability insurance
• High school diploma or equivalent for Youth Specialist position
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field for Deputy Juvenile Officer position

Responsibilities

• Manage daily living activities for residents
• Supervise meal preparation and household chores
• Assist residents with homework
• Transport residents to school and appointments
• Administer medications to residents
• Develop rapport with residents
• Resolve problems and communicate effectively
