About The Position

The Group Home Staff for Teen Boys at Better Together Mesa is responsible for providing support, care, and stability to boys in foster care. This role involves maintaining a safe and family-like environment while assisting the boys with behavioral management, therapeutic activities, and daily life skills. Staff members will function as role models and adhere to agency standards, ensuring the well-being of the residents through positive behavior support and effective communication.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare or related training and education.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age.
• Valid AZ driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report.
• Fluently speak, accurately write, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in crisis de-escalation and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, care, and stability for the boys living in the home.
• Assist with behavioral management through Positive Behavior Support strategies.
• Administer medication as required.
• Complete daily communication logs and documentation.
• Transport residents to and from activities, including medical and social events.
• Prepare and cook meals, and maintain cleanliness of the house.
• Assist residents with their chores and daily responsibilities.
• Follow house rules and schedules to provide consistency.
• De-escalate situations when children are dysregulated.
