Requirements

  • At least 1 year of caregiver experience in a professional setting.
  • Supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Must be available to be on call for any shift including nights, weekends, 12 and 16 hr shifts.
  • Must have a full and valid driver's license that you have held for at least 12 months.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
  • Must be able to attend a paid orientation for two weeks from Monday through Friday held between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
  • If 20 years of age or younger, a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year related work experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with team members and those we serve.
  • Strong organizational abilities to ensure staffing and schedules are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP).
  • Participate in a range of administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight.
  • Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals we serve in the program.
  • Provide support to individuals receiving services including assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care.
  • Split duties between providing direct support, professional or program activities, and supervision.
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.
  • Perform all duties of the caregiver role including cooking meals, administering medications, and housekeeping.
  • Provide personal care such as assistance with eating, dressing, brushing teeth, shaving, bathing, toileting or wiping.
  • Provide total care and assist the client in all areas of daily living such as feeding, changing, and transferring clients using manual lifting and lifting medical equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
