Requirements

  • Minimum education level of high school diploma
  • 2 years of experience in residential care services
  • Ability to complete training required for the position
  • The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to interact with people in a positive and supportive manner
  • Ability to provide supervision and leadership to home care staff
  • Verification of Health status pertaining to the job requirements
  • Three references deemed acceptable to the agency
  • Current valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills basic duties of a Direct Care Staff
  • Supervise group home personnel, their training and performance.
  • Develops implements, and supervises client home programming.
  • Consults with contracting agency staff and service providers in assessing client needs, and arranges services as directed.
  • Insures that client records, program data, home maintenance and financial records are updated regularly and meet stated requirements.
  • Manages and supervises the use of all in home funds, working within budget limitations and completing necessary reports.
  • Serves as the primary contact person for all communications with agency staff, parents and guardians, school and workshop staff, case worker and consultants.
  • Insures that the home is maintained in a clean and homelike manner.
  • Maintains an awareness of agency and state regulatory agencies policies. Monitors and directs the homes compliance to these regulations.
  • Provides direct supervision of home staff and client services by working afternoon or weekend shifts twice weekly.
