About The Position

We are looking for MOSSA Group Active and Group Power Instructors to join our team. We have availability for morning and evenings classes. Must have certification to apply to this position. The Group Exercise Instructor (GEI) is ultimately responsible for delivering each group exercise class participant a world-class, highly motivating and well-organized experience. This is inclusive of delivering safe and effective formats in all class categories. The GEI must be inspiring, outgoing, personable and have the ability to motivate members of varying ages and ability levels. Dependability is paramount as is the ability to be flexible and accommodating in order to consistently offer a robust schedule of classes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Group Mossa certification (Group Active/Power Only).
  • Certifications such as Specialty class instruction certifications, BLS/AED.
  • No written disciplinary action within the last 12 months.
  • Pass Background Check.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a first-class member experience in all group exercise classes including instructor performance, studio ambiance, equipment standards and overall level of energy and engagement.
  • Contribute to the culture within the Group Exercise Department that promotes a tribe-mentality for members and class participants.
  • Display expertise in class formatting, choreography, and management.
  • Provide programming for all appropriate age and ability levels.
  • Maintain current certifications, attend continuing education seminars, and review industry literature.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary studio environment; including sanitizing equipment after use and notifying management if equipment repairs are needed.
  • Demonstrate competency in systems such as class scheduling, instructor communication, and member tracking software.
  • Comply with a structured shift or class substitution policy to avoid service interruption.
  • Fill substitution requests and cross-train instructing abilities to cover similar classes.
  • Assist in the delivery of any Club events for members and/or the community.
  • Ensure all operations and practices of the department satisfy facility policies and procedures.
  • Enforce all class rules consistently and courteously.
  • Meet and/or exceed the Club/Department performance objectives and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify areas for improvement, devise solutions, and implement plans.
  • Achieve a high-level of organizational alignment and adhere to the IWP Code of Conduct.
  • Accept constructive criticism and effectively change own performance.
  • Lead by example by living a healthy and active lifestyle.

Benefits

  • Hourly salary range of $20.00 - $22.00.
